ABOUT THE CLUB

    facilities

 

MAIN GYM

Our spacious, 2 storey air-conditioned Gym is fully equipped with a large range of exercise machines.

When joining the club, a fully personalised exercise programme is designed for every member by a qualified and experienced Instructor, absolutely free! We have 6 Personal Trainers & Gym Instructors on hand, to make sure our members are supported & motivated on their way to achieving their specific fitness goals.

 

WEIGHTS ROOM

Weight training is important for balance, co-ordination and strength. We boast two enormous dumbbell racks reaching all the way up to 50kg, with a great selection of plate loaded machines to choose from.

 

 

STUDIO

Group exercise is great fun and is an excellent way to stay motivated. Check out our club's  timetable which includes a variety of modern and classic favourites. Non members are welcome to attend any of the classes at a cost of £7.50 per class.

 

 

SHOWERS & CHANGING ROOMS

The onsite changing facilities includes lockers, changing cubicles and showers. There is no charge for the lockers and no money required to use them.

 

SUPPLEMENT COUNTER

Our supplement counter stocks a variety of supplements to enhance your gym performance and speed up your recovery time. If it is advice you need there are always staff members on hand to guide you in the right direction.

 

DIVAS BEAUTY ROOM

Lauren Charlton is a level 4 beauty & aesthetic practitioner offering a full range of beauty treatments from  Eyelash extensions and Tanning to Botox & Fillers.

 

 

TANNING ROOM

This facility offers a stand up sunbed costing only 50p a minute! Creams are availiable at reception and no prior booking is necessary, Non members welcome.

Whether you're a first-timer or simply want a change of routine, our extensive range of exercise classes offer something for everyone, regardless of age, ability or fitness level. Led by our highly qualified fitness professionals, our classes are extremely motivational, and a great way to meet new people too!

 Classes can be booked up to one day in advance via the FITSENSE APP, or over the phone!

Non-members are welcome at a cost of £7.50

Having grown up overweight, lacking confidence and with a really poor grasp of what was good/bad to eat,  I understand the difference it can make to someones life to take control of their diet and training. This Is the reason why I first decided to become a Personal Trainer.

Helping people to achieve their body goals,  especially those who

initally lack body confidence and motivation, is incredibly rewarding . I firmly believe that progressing towards or maintaining fitness and physique goals is essential for physical and mental well-being and can be a huge influencing factor on success and happiness in other areas of life. 

I have now worked in the fitness industry for over 15 years and I enjoy training clients with a vast range of fitness goals ,especially fat loss.  I am a qualified nutrition and weight loss adviser and in 2019 became a qualified Yoga teacher. When this knowledge is combined with tailored workout programs, you are guaranteed to get results!

From a cardio freak to a Weights freak.... football and long distance running was always my main hobbies. I was participating in football 3 times a week also going for runs about 3 times a week.

 

It was from the age of 16 where everything changed and weight training became my passion, Experimenting with exercises, setting challenges and goals for myself. Seeing the difference in my body

shape and the benefits, is why i really enjoy weight training, I became a lot more toned and muscle defined. It was only when I started seeing these amazing changes and what i could achieve all by myself, i knew Personal Training was the career path I wanted to explore.

As well as qualifying as a Personal Trainer i also qualified as a level 2 sports and football coach, i can combine my coaching and leading skills with my gym experiences to motivate and educate clients, making positive changes to their physique and to help them feel more confident.

To me, training isn’t about aesthetics. My ethos is: healthy body, healthy mind. Training with me, you’ll begin to work from the inside - out, building your strength, willpower and then consequently, your body. Having short term goals to fit into a certain size isn’t a sustainable way to live. What I can do is show you a different perspective on fitness, utilising every aspect of the gym to build your cardio, strength, coordination, flexibility, confidence and overall holistic wellbeing. 

 

I have trained a versatile range of clients including a young man preparing to go into the Navy to Mums early on in their postpartum journey. I have worked with many boxing gyms throughout the past 10 years as my son was a national level boxer. I helped improve the fitness of the club's boxers for their bouts through intensive interval and circuit training programs. Runner for the last 31 years! I ran my first marathon at the sweet age of 16 and I’ve never looked back since.
Having run well over 100 marathons including 7 marathons in the Sahara desert in my lifetime , it shows I have a huge passion for long distance running , all things cardio & endurance training.

I’m a Mum of one boy , so I have been working with alot of mums over the years to lose that stubborn belly fat through cardio & strength training. It is always my priority to help women get to a place where they feel great about the skin they are in.

Frequently asked questions....

 

Will I need to book to use the Gym?

  • No. From the 19th July you will be able to use the gym at any time, there will be no booking system for use of the gym. You will have to check in when arriving by using the Fitsense App on your phone or checking in manually with a staff member at reception.

  •  If you have trouble signing into the App please note we may have a wrong /out of date email address for you. Please call the gym and we amend your details easily.

Are gym numbers still limited?

  • No, we are not limiting numbers. However if you are concerned about the gym being busy please use the Fitsense app by choosing the "plan visit" icon at the bottom of the homepage to check how many people are currently using the gym. 

 

How do I check in?

Please either scan your personal code using Fitsense app or ring the bell for a member of staff to check you in. You must not enter the gym until you have been checked in.

How to scan in using the Fitsense app.

  • Click Check in

  • Hold the QR code under the scanner

  • Wait for the beep.

How long Can I use the gym for?

  • Please arrive whenever you like and train for as long as you like!

How does it work if I want a day pass?

  • Day pass customers fill in a disclaimer form and pay for their session at reception. Day passes are only available for over 18s with previous gym experience.

Will I be able to attend classes?

  • Classes are now back up and running! Classes must be booked in advance. All classes can be booked 1 day in advance using the Fitsense App or by calling the gym on 01621 784552.

Are the changing facilities and lockers available?

  •  The changing rooms and showers are now open for use.

Do I have to book an appointment to join?

  • Please call to book an appointment if you would like to join.

Do I have to be a member to have personal training?

  • No, members and non-members are welcome.

Do I need to wear a face mask / visor when training?

  • It is entirely up to the individual to whether or not you wear a face mask/visor.
